The project
called Distributed Online Library Management System. As the project name goes it totally concerned with the management
of book. The main main feature of the project is that it is Distributed i.e.
the Database lies on the server and all clients machines can access that
database. It is multiple user system.
There are five types of users:
Administrator, Staff, Student, Teacher and User. The Administrator user has all
the rights of the System. The Staff user has only the rights of Staff.
Similarly the other users have their appropriate rights.
The user could anyone who wishes to
know about the book in the Library. This project stores the general information
and the information about book issuing and returning.
The objective of
the “Online Library Management System” is to
handle the entire activity of a library. The software keeps track of all the
information about the books in the library, their cost, their complete details
and total number of books available in the Library.
The user will find it easy
in this automated system rather than using the manual writing system. The
system contains a database where all the information will be stored safely. The
system is user-friendly and error free.
